Tar Heel State

A local player from Country Day, Nico Rittmeyer will be lacing up his boots for the storied program of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Nico played for the US Development Club, SCUFC Battery, out of Charleston, SC.

North Carolina is one of the strongest collegiate programs in the US, with 22 former players playing professionally. Read more, HERE. They also have won 2 National Championships, the most recent being 2011.

Nico set several records for scoring last season as a Junior at Country Day. I’m sure many were eagerly awaiting the flood gates to open once again, however Nico will be skipping the Spring season here in Savannah. He will be gaining valuable US National Pool training this spring as well as international experience in Germany before heading off to North Carolina in the fall.
